222. Murderer
Well, i guess this would have been more surprising if i hadn’t made the mistake to publish Monuca’s drawing 5 months ago, which gave clues about her muderous side. At that time my idea for the flashback chapter had some differences, and it wasn’t a secret that Monuca was the murderer; it was only later that i thought it could be an interesting idea to try to trick readers into thinking the murderer was Dragon, using some word tricks and confusions. Some people were tricked, others not so much, but at least it created a disscussion about who the murderer could be, among the characters in the comic. This by the way isn’t the first time i’ve done this, though the revelation of when i’ve done it in some case will come at a future date. If anything, you now know you can’t trust everything in this comic to be what it seems at first glance XD

Even though she’s a sadistic, murdering, torturous bitch who preys on innocent and adorable girls… I am kinda turned on by the knowledge that she unconditionally loves me purely for what I am.

I too for some reason was more interested in her after i found out she drinks the blood of tortured childern. I dont really know why i just do. Before this page i was surprise she was one of the good guys, only to find out she really really isn’t Whats makes her really scary for me is that she doesnt smile when she does this, unlike herensuge, which makes her just as scary, if not scarier than Herensuge. Herensuge shows joy while torturing and murdering people with a smile, but Monuca doesnt show any emotion. You think that if she is a sadist see would physicly show joy, but she looks almost bored in the last panel. She is really fucking creepy.

Holy shit i was right, I should become a detective.
But if you did this before dragon was already a beloved character that was known for starting the orphanish with Lamia, than dragon would be suspicious with that death stare (you even shocked me for a second with the comic before this one, because I actually thought it could be Dragon for split second there) , but dragon is (even though she pretends to be a cold-hearted badass) probably one of the most caring and good-hearted character is the whole comic (and still a badass). Well done getting the readers to stop and start thinking for a moment if it could be her. Even though it was pretty obvious it wasn’t dragon, it still got me thinking. Moments like these are the reason I love this comic.
Wait im confused. If it was monuca who they where looking for, then who cut off the empire VIP’s arm?

Why am I so sad about the death of the arachne. I cant even pronounce her name. I guess, because she was so nice, innocent and harmless (and stupid). All she wanted to do is help people and look where that got her. I wish she would stay alive, but this was a pretty sad and shocking death. You get to comic 221 and she is alive and happy than click on next and BOOM she’s death. She is not even fully on screen. RIP arachne with difficult name, you will be missed.

But hey, maybe Lamia can heal her. We all know how extremely tough insects are, so she might just be injured? Maybe she grows up to be Aradne? We know Aradne and Lamia are good friends and love to cook and take care of people.

I looked up the mythology of the Monuca and it says that they sometimes drink the blood of lamb and childern, that is how there red pelt gets that color. Her neck pelt is completely red so think about all the childerns blood she has consumed. I seriously cant look at her the same way anymore.
