Moba fighters was a comic project i made to present to different contest and editorials, the story was set arround a newly formed team of videogame players trying to make career in the most famous Moba game: Valhalla
The game allowed characters to create a character from 0 under a set of values and rules, the main character was Kara, a shy girl who had allways liked videogames but as her family and her only friend were against games and geeks, she never played any, until a team of Moba players invited him to join, and she discovered she was actually good at it.The comic was intended to explore the world of gaming and the relationships between gamers and non-gamers or even game haters, a theme that would have been very interesting if we consider the actual state of controversy and battle in the gaming world with the “gamergate” thing, preciselly between gamers and non-gamers.
Unfortunatelly only one french editorial was interested in the designs but they would only work with me if i changed my comic style from manga to “french style” comic. I had the intention to do a version of it in that style to try again but as i began with another projects i ended up ignoring this. This design is the second configuration of the Kara character, she was at first a healer but she soon changed it an used her points to create an AP burst character with the ability to control gravity, she had less AP damage than other characters because she was a healer at first, but she’s also better at close combat.

Este dibujo es de vista publica pero la mayoría de ellos serán exclusivos para mis patrones. Moba fighters fue un proyecto de comic que cree para presentar a diferentes concursos y editoriales, la historia giraba alrededor de un recién formado equipo de jugadores de videojuegos tratando de abrirse camino en el Moba más famoso: Valhalla.
El juego permitía a los jugadores crear personajes desde 0 bajo una serie de reglas y valores, el personaje principal era Kara, una chica timida a la que le gustan los videojuegos, pero dado que su familia y unica amiga los ven ridiculos, nunca ha sido jugadora, hasta que un equipo la invita a formar parte de ellos y descubre que es buena jugando. El comic tenía la intención de explorar el mundillo gamer y las relaciones entre gamers y no gamers o incluso gente que odia los juegos, algo que sería muy interesante en el contexto actual, con toda la controversia “gamergate” que enfrenta precisamente a gamers con no gamers.
Desafortunadamente solo una editorial francesa se vio interesada en los diseños, pero para trabajar conmigo requerían que cambiase mi estilo de comic de manga a “estilo frances”, tuve la intención de hacer una versión en ese estilo y probar de nuevo, pero según me fui metiendo en otros proyectos acabe ignorando este. Esta es la segunda configuración de Kara, originalmente era una curandera pero cambio el personaje y uso sus puntos para hacer un mago con el poder de controlar la gravedad. Dado que era originalmente una curandera su daño magico es menor a lo normal, pero también es mejor en combate cercano.
