About Monster girls on tour vs Guild adventure

Regarding the events and current fight in my Monster Girls on Tour comic, for the next few pages it will be almost the same thing as it was a decade ago in my previous comic Guild Adventure; which happens in the same setting and they both coincide at this point in time for current events. For other events i’ve shown different perspectives, telling the story from the eyes of other characters so it’s not the same as i told in Guild adventure a decade back, but in this case there’s no way around it since it’s a pivotal moment for both comics.

It’s not *exactly* the same tho, because the narrative reasons are different. For purely educational purpose and to clarify for readers of both, i’ll go a little about it, in case you want to do comics too or wonder why some stuff is told differently.

The first time i drew this fight it was the second time both teams had had a fight on screen. They had shown some of their skills on the first fight but not all of them, so this fight needed to be a showcase for what they could fully do. As such it was a longer fight than it will be here, switching between characters to reveal their powers. But in this new comic, the characters have been known by the reader for a long time, and it’s known what they can do. This modifies the focus of the fight because it’s a narrative mistake to tell the audience two times what they already know (tho sometimes i’ve been forced to do it). For that reason both this fight and some other incoming stuff will modify the way they’re presented.

It’s the reason for example why the *strongest hunter team* who appeared in Guild adventure doesn’t even appear in Monster girls on tour. Their purpose in GA was to have a point of reference for how strong some team were, since they would be compared to them. It would be a show of how strong D’Jahira is when she had a fight with them. But in MGoT you have seen D’Jahira fight enough times and know what she can do and how strong she is. This not only erases the necessity of even having thos characters on, but also will change how i present certain future fights, because again when i drew them in GA, they intended to showcase her powers, while now is not needed anymore.
It’s the reason why i’ve injected a lot more content on characters like Melissa, Urdin and Jayce, because in GA they were known due to previous events, but in MGoT they were really not known until the tournament, and it’s necessary for the reader to know them for future events.
In essence, for the next chapters, if you’ve read GA you’re gonna see stuff that you already saw but not in the way you already saw. This is primary due to narrative necessities but you can simply consider that the events/fights had more to them than what is shown in any of the two comics individually, and both comics together sum up all the bits. Again as i said when these chapters started, there’s no need to read GA to follow this comics. I’ve made sure every main plot point is here. The difference is that my previous comic follows on Rago, Reika, Leika and Rakunda, so they’re way more fleshed out in GA than they’re here. If you’re interested in getting all perspectives you can read GA too but be aware you’ll spoil yourself of the next chapters.
